Advanced feature compared with conventional sand filtration technique
Because of its simple technical process, the conventional multi-media filtration is still applied widely in the water filtration field with widely known disadvantages.
Firstly, the quality of output water is unstable since the cleaning is performed completely depending on the manual operation, and the cleaning is not timely or the pollutants can penetrate through the filtering layer because of the negligence of the operation process.
Secondly, the cleaning is not thorough. The media filter can eliminate the impurity mainly depending on the adsorption of the millipore on the surface of the filtration material and the mechanical retention between the particles of the filtration material, and because the limitation of the technical condition and the operating level, the cleaning function can only eliminate the partial impurities in the filtering bed, hence the microspore on the surface of the filtration material can be blocked gradually by the impurity, then the hardening is formed, and the absorption and the filtering effect are influenced seriously.
Thirdly, the running cost is high. The cleaning of the media filter can generate an amount of waste water discharged to the environment; simultaneously, an amount of power consumption can be caused, and the waste of the resource and energy is caused virtually.
Fourthly, the degree of automation is low. The manual operation can not only increase the labor intensity, but the difficulty can be brought to the control of the operating index.
Fifthly, the occupying area is large, the shape is heavy, and both the installation and the movement are inconvenient.
