Ultraviolet radiation is light wave invisible to naked eyes, which locates on the outside of visible ultraviolet. Ultraviolet A, B and C radiation and vacuum ultraviolet are categorized according to wavelength, in which the wavelength of ultraviolet C radiation is at the range of 200 and 275nm and it is the most effective sterilization radiation with the point of most effective sterilization locating on 254nm. Ultraviolet radiation mainly works on microorganism’s deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), ribonucleic acid(RNA) and cell membrane to result in rupture of its cell membrane DNA bond fission or photochemical reaction to finally lead to no survival of protein and other living matters. When germs such as general bacteria, virus are exposed to ultraviolet C radiation and absorb certain dosage, their vital center DNA will be destroyed to condemn their death and incapacity of propagation. The ultraviolet sterilizer developed on the basis of the above principle producing 254nm wavelength radiation can instantaneously kill all bacteria and viruses in water in order to reach the goal of sterilization and purification.

Optimal use condition
Ultraviolet radiation is one type of light wave with short wavelength with small quantity of radiant energy and low penetrating power and only can kill microorganism which is under direct radiation; low water quality may directly affect the effectiveness of sterilization, therefore, double intelligent pressure differential filter is made into pre-filtering equipment for ultraviolet sterilizer, which can greatly improve the efficiency of sterilization.
